The Estrella Mountain Regional Park is located southwest of Phoenix in the town of Goodyear. It encompasses 33 miles of hiking, biking and horseback riding trails and is part of the Maricopa County Park System.
The Baseline Trail is one of the more popular hikes in the park, and it's the one my hiking partners and I took. It's close to three miles long, is an easy loop trail, though hilly with lots of loose rock along the path.
